  • Keynote Speakers:

  • AJ CATALDO, CMA, CPA, PHD:

  • Dr. AJ Cataldo is currently Professor and Chair of Accounting at West Chester University. He is the Editor of the Journal of Mentored Management Accounting Research of the IMA West Chester Chapter. His research resulted in quotes in the Wall Street  Journal when the NASDAQ “crashed in April 2000 and more recently (2008), his publication and working papers were filed with the Court by the Receiver in a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) initiated action against a firm claiming naked shorting and stock price manipulation to explain their declining stock price. Cataldo’s work was statistically consistent with SEC findings and the CEO of this company was found to have been the source of the stock price manipulation. Cataldo’s first publication was in 1987 and since he has published more than one million words. His professional background includes public accounting, controllership, government auditor, and litigation support.

  •  PETER OEHLERS, CMA, CPA, DBA:

  • Dr. Peter Oehlers is currently Associate Professor of Accounting at West Chester University. His research in identity theft, management accounting issues, accounting theory and tax website research has been published in Issues in Innovation, Oil, Gas and Energy Quarterly, Strategic Finance, The Journal of Financial Services Professionals, Accounting World and Bottom Line. He received Distinguished Teaching Awards at Widener and West Chester Universities. He serves on the editorial board of Issues of Innovation, Associate Editor of the Journal of Mentored Management Accounting Research, and the advisory boards of several student organizations. Currently, he is pursuing research accounting issues related to the environment, auditing for identity theft, personality and ethics, and ethics in accounting information systems.
